ward of wayne, bird enthusiast, code-genius, ex-trapeze artist. which means exactly what you think it does. free dinner to the first name joke I haven't heard.
Yeah, I can imagine there are some pretty cool updates :) You've picked up on the technology side of it pretty fast too, I'm impressed. There are still people who were born in this century who don't get it.
A lot of stuff kinda added together to make the idea less than a good one. But my job makes schedules pretty difficult to keep, so attendance policies? Rough.
are there? :) i would not pretend to understand it. but i love it even speaking with you like this is a wonderful thing. to see your picture and see your letters without ever meeting you and to do it instantly people have made great things. i am enjoying them
what is your job? perhaps since you are here you will have more time for things like that. school. if you wanted
Yup. There are entire groups of people waiting at the beck and call of the older generation because they don't want to learn what's happening. I mean it's an easy job, but boy can it be frustrating.
And you're right, instant communication is definitely something I take for granted. Makes meeting new people a lot easier :)
It's a little complicated, but it involves a lot of community service. But I won't have to worry about it here, so yeah, maybe I will have time to go back to school. That'd be really cool.
I was actually going to ask that. Are there a whole lot of other options besides school and clubbing? Because I feel like the latter would get old, fast.
Probably linguistics. Computer science would be too easy, but might be interesting to see if I could learn something new. Maybe a few classes here and there. I haven't really thought about it?
i do not. i have never been to any school not a real one, anyway. i suppose if i took any subject it would be one that taught me of this world its history, or its lands. either. both, if i could
but linguistics would be good as well! i have always liked languages how many do you speak?
as for what is here there is work, if you would like it. and training if you like are you a dancer? your older self is very good at that
How come you haven't gone to school? Your opportunity is here and ready for you. :) History would be really cool to take, actually. Since you haven't lived anything post 15th century.
And I speak six, though I'm leaning a few more. :) Words and communication are just really cool to me? And being able to talk to and understand people from all over the world is neat. So I guess seven, if you want to count coding.
They've got a whole economic system here, huh? Seems almost too good to be true.
[ oh, well, there's...that. ]
Is he? I mean, I guess I can dance. I've never really tried. Acrobatics was more of my thing.
well i was born in the 15th century but i am from the 18th century. and my education was done at home
but i like languages too. though i cannot code for obvious reasons.
i think if you are anything like him, you will be good at dancing but acrobatics, really? perhaps there is a troupe here that you could join or a circus though i have not seen one. how did you learn to do that?
Alright then the 18th Century. That's still another 300 years of humanity trying its best to destroy itself and coming out alive even still. It's pretty amazing.
Do you want to learn? It's just another language, so once you pick up the grammar of it, it's not too difficult.
[ well that's...kind of. difficult to parse through how he feels about that. ]
Maybe. Not really sure how alike we're supposed to be at this point.
[ he certainly has never fallen in love with a norse god. but hey, there's time. ]
In a circus, actually. I grew up in one for a long time. My parents were a part of this trapeze group called the Flying Graysons, so when I was born I was kind of raised up into it.
you have a point. perhaps i should know what lies in store for me
[ Or for the world, anyway. It couldn't do any harm to be prepared. ]
do you think you could teach me? if you could, i would like to learn i think these are things my friend axel knows. i could surprise him
and i did not know about the circus. did you live there? in my world circus troops would travel around, never staying in one place is that the same for you?
An admirable quality, honestly. But sure- let me know when you're free and I can set something up. :)
It's nice, in a lot of ways, and I'm not going to lie- a miss it a lot of the time. But there are perks to parking it, too. Just a matter of what you value more. I didn't really decide- my parents had an accident during one of our shows and didn't make it. Before I could get tossed into foster care, a billionaire in the city we were performing kind of took me in.
[ it's been all over the news for years, dick's gotten pretty used to telling the story by now. ]

you have no wish to begin it again?
